RETURNS / PERSONALIZED ORDERS
Due to the handcrafted and made-to-order nature of our products, all personalized, custom, and special-request items are final sale and non-refundable.
This includes pieces customized with names, wording, colors, sizing adjustments, design modifications, or any special requests made specifically for you.
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations on custom or personalized orders once production has begun.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label so we can review the issue and work toward a resolution.
Please note that slight variations in color, wood grain, engraving depth, paint finish, texture, and handmade details are natural characteristics of handcrafted artisan products and are not considered defects. Each piece is unique and may vary slightly from product photos.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase unless production has already begun.
Once production has started, orders cannot be canceled, modified, refunded, or exchanged.
PROCESSING PERIOD
Each piece is handcrafted in small batches with care and attention to detail. Most items are made to order, which means production begins after your purchase is placed.
Processing times typically range from 5–10 business days depending on the item, customization requests, painting and finishing requirements, material availability, and current order volume.
Larger custom orders or highly detailed pieces may require additional production time.
Processing times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Once your order has been completed and prepared for shipment, tracking information will be sent to the email provided at checkout.
Handmade artistry takes time, and we believe quality is worth the wait.
GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION
Modern Essence Co is a small handmade business. Every order is carefully created, finished, packaged, and prepared with intention and attention to detail.
Orders are processed and shipped during regular business days, excluding weekends and major holidays.
Shipping timelines may vary due to customization requests, seasonal demand, carrier delays, weather conditions, or order volume.
Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent to the email provided at checkout.
Modern Essence Co is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather events, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout. Orders returned due to an incorrect address may require additional shipping charges before being reshipped.
ADDRESS CHANGES
If you need to update your shipping address, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.
While we will make every effort to accommodate address changes, we cannot guarantee modifications once production, packaging, or shipping preparation has begun.
Modern Essence Co is not responsible for orders shipped to an address entered incorrectly at checkout.
LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
Once a package has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer.
Modern Essence Co is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or missing packages that have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier.
If your tracking information indicates delivery but you cannot locate your package, please contact the shipping carrier directly and check with neighbors, household members, or your local post office.
DAMAGED ITEMS
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of:
• The damaged item
• All packaging materials
• The shipping label
Damage claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for replacement or review.
Approved claims may be resolved through repair, replacement, store credit, or refund at the sole discretion of Modern Essence Co.
PRODUCT REPRESENTATION
We make every effort to accurately display product colors, finishes, materials, and details through our photographs.
However, actual colors may vary slightly due to screen settings, lighting conditions, photography, and the natural characteristics of handmade materials.
These variations are not considered defects and do not qualify for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
