RETURNS / PERSONALIZED ORDERS

Due to the handcrafted and made-to-order nature of our products, all personalized, custom, made-to-order, and special-request items are final sale and non-refundable.

This includes, but is not limited to, pieces customized with names, wording, colors, sizing adjustments, design modifications, or other specifications requested by the customer.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations on custom or personalized orders once production has begun.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label. Failure to provide photos may limit our ability to process a claim.

Please note that slight variations in color, wood grain, engraving depth, paint finish, texture, handmade details, and natural material characteristics are expected and are not considered defects. Each piece is individually handcrafted and therefore unique.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase unless production has already begun.

Once production has started, custom, personalized, and made-to-order items cannot be canceled, modified, refunded, or exchanged.

Modern Essence Co reserves the right to refuse cancellation requests after production has begun.

PROCESSING PERIOD

Each piece is handcrafted in small batches with care and attention to detail. Most items are made to order, which means production begins after your order is placed.

Processing times typically range from 5–10 business days depending on the item, customization requests, painting and finishing requirements, material availability, and current order volume.

Larger custom orders, seasonal demand, or highly detailed pieces may require additional processing time.

Processing times are estimates and are not guaranteed production deadlines.

Once your order has been completed and prepared for shipment, tracking information will be sent to the email provided at checkout.

Handmade artistry takes time, and we believe quality is worth the wait.

ADDRESS CHANGES

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout.

Address change requests must be submitted as soon as possible after placing an order. While we will make every effort to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee modifications once production or shipping preparation has begun.

Modern Essence Co is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses provided by the customer.

If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for any reshipping fees.

GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

Modern Essence Co is a small handmade business, not a mass-production warehouse. Every order is carefully created, finished, packaged, and prepared with intention and attention to detail.

Orders are processed and shipped during regular business days excluding weekends and major holidays.

Shipping timelines may vary depending on product type, customization requests, seasonal demand, carrier delays, weather conditions, or order volume.

Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent to the email provided at checkout.

Delivery times provided by shipping carriers are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Modern Essence Co is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather events, natural disasters, labor disruptions, customs processing, or other circumstances beyond our control.

LOST, STOLEN, OR DELIVERED PACKAGES

Once a package has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer.

Modern Essence Co is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or missing packages that have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier.

If your tracking information indicates delivery but you cannot locate your package, please contact the shipping carrier directly and check with neighbors, household members, or your local post office.

DAMAGED ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of:

  • The damaged item

  • All packaging materials

  • The shipping label

Damage claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for replacement or review.

At our discretion, approved claims may be resolved through repair, replacement, store credit, or refund.

COLOR & PRODUCT REPRESENTATION

We make every effort to accurately display product colors, finishes, and details through our photographs.

However, actual colors may vary slightly due to monitor settings, screen brightness, lighting conditions, photography, and the natural characteristics of handmade materials.

Such variations are not considered defects and do not qualify for returns or refunds.

LIMITED LIABILITY

Modern Essence Co's liability for any claim relating to a product purchase shall not exceed the original purchase price of the item.
